AWS A5.21 welding rods are a cobalt-based alloy used in wear, spraying, and hard-facing applications.

Advantages of cobalt alloy welding rods:

Applications:

• Argon arc welding, oxyacetylene welding, etc.
• It can be used for surface treatment of parts and components in extrusion dies, turbine blades, exhaust valves of internal combustion engines, oil drilling tools, marine engineering, petroleum industry, coal, oil refining, chemical engineering, boilers and other industries.

STP 12 welding rods are often used in the woodcutting industry to make saw blades and other cutting tools. This is because STP12 is known for its excellent wear resistance and toughness, which makes it ideal for cutting through hard and abrasive materials like wood. When used in saw blades, STP 12 welding rods are typically welded onto the blade’s cutting edge to create a hard, wear-resistant surface that can withstand the rigors of cutting through dense, tough wood. The STP 12 coating on the blade can help extend its lifespan and reduce the need for frequent sharpening or replacement.

SYTOP common materials include STP 1, STP 6, STP 12, and STP 21. Standard sizes include D2.7mm, D3.2mm, D4.0mm, D4.8mm, D6mm, and D6.4mm. Continuous cast solid rod is supplied in standard 1m or 2m lengths. (4m are also available if you have special requirements; leave a message to us).
