A brief introduction to ERCoCr welding rod.

ERCoCr type is a cobalt-based alloy surfacing electrode. The deposited metal has comprehensive heat resistance, corrosion resistance and oxidation resistance, and can maintain high hardness at high temperatures above 600 °C. Adjusting the content of C and W can change their hardness and toughness to suit the requirements of different uses. The lower the carbon content, the better the toughness, and can withstand the impact under hot and cold conditions, suitable for surfacing welding of high temperature and high-pressure valves, hot forging dies, hot shearing machine blades, etc. High carbon has high hardness and good wear resistance, but has weak impact resistance and is not easy to process.

What is the difference between ERCoCr-A and ERCoCr-B bare rods?

ERCoCr-A and ERCoCr-B are both types of bare welding rods that are commonly used in welding and repair applications. The main difference between these two types of rods is their chemical composition, which affects their performance and suitability for different applications.

ERCoCr-A rods are made with a higher percentage of cobalt than ERCoCr-B rods. They also contain chromium and tungsten, which give them high strength and wear resistance. These properties make them ideal for use in applications where the welded part will be subjected to high temperatures, such as in gas turbine engines or power plants.

ERCoCr-B rods, on the other hand, have a lower cobalt content and are made with nickel and molybdenum. This composition gives them good corrosion resistance and makes them suitable for welding a variety of materials, including stainless steel, nickel alloys, and high-temperature alloys.

ERCoCr-B bare welding rod can be used in the repair of bandsaw teeth, specifically for building up the worn or damaged areas of the teeth to restore their original shape and function.

Bandsaw blades are used for cutting wood, metal, and other materials, and they can become damaged or worn over time. ERCoCr-B is a good choice for repairing bandsaw teeth because it has good corrosion resistance and strength, which are important properties for a cutting tool.
